Works well for things you use and wash often; cabinets and drawers are better for things you use only occasionally -- keeps things cleaner. I have dreamed many days with "kitchen envy" on my mind. If I were to have all my kitchen stuff, would not be nearly as coordinated as your pictures. So I throw the ratty stained potholders in drawers with the mismatched spice jars.
